Bank Farm Riding school to be honest is a bit of a joke.
The ponies are poorly kept, many of them working up to 3 hours straight with ill matched riders atop. The ponies are also underweight and underfed and so reluctant to work and riders are often encouraged to give it a 'good smack' to 'tell it whos boss' this beating of the ponies could be easily avoided if the owners weren't so tight with their money and obsessed with their profit margins.
The staff are a mixed bag, some are lovely accommodating and eager to help you at any point, regardless of relevance. Others are stand offish a rude and give the impression of indifference and bitchiness.
I took my daughter there twice over the summer for a walk out and then for some lessons that she desperately wanted, however after her 5th lesson she was no more competent than her 1st and so I too the decision to move her. Since she has come on leaps and bounds.
I would definitely not recommend this riding school, hopefully by voting with my feet they will get their act together and provide an improved better living conditions for their horse slaves and get some better mannered staff.
