“Poor and dismissive customer service ”

I bought a football shirt from Sports Direct Stockport and after I arrived home (a few miles away) and took the shirt out of the bag, I realised the store had left the security tag on. I phoned the customer services number at their head office and was told by the lady to return the shirt ask for the manager and they would be able to give a discount or a voucher for my inconvenience. I drove back to the store and spoke to the manager and he was dismissive, saying it wasn't in his remit to give any kind of concession and that customer services shouldn't have told me that this was the procedure The manager refused to even tell me his full name so I could mention it in reference to my complaint. They removed the tag from the shirt and told me I would have to contact head office for any recompense.

I suppose with Sports Direct, as the saying goes, "if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!"
