Experience depends on who’s on duty at the time. Some staff are friendly and care about the customer, others couldn’t care less. Some do nothing but moan about hours or duties while serving you. Many young staff that that are good mates with each other, so if you complain to or about one member of staff, you can find that others treat you with contempt on the next visit. Staff will open a till for another staff member to buy something and then close it again. Prices at the till too often incorrect vs. shelf label. Gave up on co-op (Woodhatch, Surrey) after having shopping thrown into bag with no care and the next visit having a bag thrown down and shopping scanned and thrown on to the counter at light speed. They often have tiny counters at the till, equipment that doesn't work and are far too pricey, even if the special offers look good.
