We tried to use the service for our young son recently. We called the help line who said we needed to go back to the GP and get them to fill in a health online form just to initiate a referral to a specialist. It took an extra three days to achieve this and required significant time and coordination on our behalf. I have used other private health insurers through previous employers who have an easier system whereby you call up with the diagnosis and if covered will provide you with a code to use at a number of different specialists in your area.
