“Saved the weekend!”

I am a full-time wheelchair user. I recently experienced an explosive tyre deflation of the 140psi tube due to a rim-tape failure whilst away for the weekend. The resulting hole in the inner tube was difficult to repair due to the age of my rarely-used puncture repair outfit. At 5.30pm on a Saturday I phoned the local Evans Cycles. They didn't have a tube the right size (24x1 is not a common cycle size). I asked if they could deliver a new puncture repair outfit to my hotel? It arrived less than 15 minutes later. The tube was successfully repaired and my weekend saved. My sincere thanks to the staff concerned for a service that was everything I'd hoped for and rarely experience these days. The guy who delivered the repair kit even offered to repair the tube. Without their help I would have been marooned and would probably have returned home early.
