“Very unhappy and disappointed ”

written by on 19/07/2015

I recently purchased a icandy peach blossom 3 from the John Lewis Westfield Stratford store at a considerable cost and I have been left appalled by my whole experience! First off the customer care I received was disappointing, the sales team were to busy to help, eventually we got to speak with someone who was very unhelpful but as I was desperately needing a double buggy for my two year old and four month old I went ahead and purchased the buggy as I could take it home that day. On opening the box I found that it was not what I had asked for and there was 1 rain cover missing, the seats were odd (1 red and 1 black) and poison balls were all over 1 seat where the bag had burst. I contacted John Lewis and a week later they sent out a new seat that was right and want I had first asked for and I was told that it didn't come with a rain cover( which is untrue ) so the "new" buggy was the right colour but the frame had become lose and leaked black oil from the handle bar ( which has ruined clothes and blankets as it doesn't wash out) and the back wheel had started to make a hoirrable noise, I have taken it into another reliable buggy store where I was told that it's unsafe and recommended that I take it back. so again I contacted John Lewis to which I was told I had to bring it back into the store (1 hour drive ) and they would send it back to icandy and sort out the problem and in the mean time would loan me a buggy while I waited for a new 1. On arriving at there store i was told they didn't have a loan buggy and to take my broken unsafe one back. after seeing the problems they agreed to replace it but I was left waiting a week for another one to be sent out and was sent home with the broken one to use (which I didn't as its unsafe) I find it shocking that John Lewis have shown no concern for the safety of my two young children and think that it's acceptable for me to use a broken one for a week. After numerous phone calls and lots of time and effort I still have no rain cover ( which SHOULD of come with the buggy) and no apology! I will 100% not be using John Lewis again as I am very upset and angry with the whole thing.
