“woolworths style customer service”

needed to purchase a large amount of Gardening equipment for a charity project. First i called the nearest branch which was Leyton, the phone line was engaged constantly so decided to go there. On arriving the Homebase had closed down, no info on the website or a simple recorded message would have saved the hassle. So went to the next branch Haringey, they had about 5 of the 40 items in stock, so onwards to the next branch where they had about a third of the list but also wanted £41 to deliver, felt this was a rip off but agreed to it only to be told that this would not include the compost as they do not deliver this. Exasperated i took what i could and decided to never use Homebase again as the stores are just a chaotic shambles with staff run ragged.
