“Horrible Company”

I am absolutely disgusted by this company. I was a customer for many years spending thousands of pounds with this company. I dealt with missing items, some of which I finally received after many phonecalls at great cost to me due to this company charging high phonecall rates and not being quick or helpful in dealing with the simplest of complaints.

I also had a membership fee for their Create and Craft department taken without my permission. I discovered this only when months after they took my payment I logged on to reinstate my membership. I did not due to their arrogance get six months credited to me. More fool me as I let a lot go with this awful company, I again let this go.

Also items that were not delivered but were charged were never as promised credited to my account. Also calls I had to make due to their errors were never credited to my account

Well the last straw was earlier this year I suddenly received a letter from of all things, a debt recovery agent. Due to an oversight of last payment due of £30.00 on a recurring payment, error at my end they made out they had sent me several letters asking for this payment. They demanded £35 extra.

To be fair to the debt recovery agency, the first I have ever dealt with in my long life, they made every effort to Ideal to dispute this and also waived additional admin fees added on. However although they contacted Ideal World more than once all Ideal world did was refer to terms and conditions.

I eventually paid this company the extra £35 under duress as had enough of this. However I will probably take this further. I spent thousands over past few years with this company and I myself have lost money through their inefficiency/mistakes and just let it go. However apart from all the upset and stress they have caused me by dealing with a simple error regarding a very small amount, I am looking also into any detriment they have caused to my credit score.

This is a company I have spent thousands with, have cost me more than the amount I owed them, through chasing their errors and also goods never received. This is the way they treat a good, long term customer.

I suggest all avoid dealing with this company as it is the worst I have dealt with in recent times as far as customer service is concerned.

They after this appalling treatment have lost 100s so far. Over the next few years it would be 1000s. However more importantly I will warn everyone I know to steer clear of buying from them.
