“Refused to provide any vehical”

I was returning to the UK to assist my disabled parents I booked a 4 door car from ECARZ on the 9th July to be collected from Newcastle Airport at 5 pm 10th July. Unfortunately KLM had to delay my flight 6 hours, I missed my connecting flight and could not reach Newcaste Airport till 8.30am on the 11th July. however I emailed the company from the airport and my husband also sent an email.. When I visited the Eurocar desk in Newcastle airport they said as I had not shown on the day I could not have a car. I argued it was prepaid for 11 days. I called the company and they have acknowledged that they received my emails but as I could not call by phone thet they are in any breech of contract. They have agreed to review my case but say they cannot guarantee any refund. They will get back to me in 20 days to decide if they will refund any of my money. I also have to say threat the person I dealt with at Euro car was sullen and unhelpful. I have ended up paying considerably more by having to hire a car from the airport without rebooking it but I have to say that the attitude of the Avis representative was the opposite to ECARZ and EUrope car. It's cost me more but 5 Stars for Avis. They charged me for one car but upgraded me to a larger one which has been easier for my disabled parents to get in and out of 5 stars for the lady representing Avis at Newcastle Airport!
