“Customer service appalling”

I asked to change my holiday from sharm el sheik because of current events soldiers getting shot and a tour bus attacked which was not on the news but foreign office said a perimeter around sharks bay nabq baby and two other bays were safe but that meant you could not go off the complex as we like going to naama bay you could not go there, my wife didn't feel safe as she has a nervous disposition and is taking anti depressants we decided to go to the algarve. I rang teletext holidays to change and at first was told it would cost 120 pound per person to change I agreed to this and was kept on hold for half an hour then they asked me which hotel I would like to go to I named a hotel they would come up with a much inflated price I said no then the next hotel they said it would cost 1400 yes 1400 more than the brochure price this went on and on after five hours of going round in circles I was fed up and very very frustrated I actually agreed to a holiday I didn't want and that was 11hundred pounds more than the brochure price I called them back ten minutes later to cancel but was told it was cloing durin that five hours I was put on hold five times it's a game they play to put your resistance down . Any next day called them back to change my holiday to the holiday I wanted in the first place it was the holiday inn on the algarve they owed me 2500 from the holiday I booked but didn't want the holiday inn price in their brochure was 1900 they said it would cost me another 500 that meant I would be paying 3000 pounds for a 1900 pounds holiday when I asked to cancel they said it would cost me 1400 so now I'm going on a holiday i didn't want which the brochure price was 1442 and I'm paying 2500 money grabbers they certainly are I'm going to get in touch whith the ombudsman to see if I can get some recompence watch out for the tactics they use on the phone I have spent fourteen hours on the phone since Thursday 8th of July 2015.
