Lastminute.com has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I booked a flight which was subsequently cancelled by the airline. They told me that I could either rebook there and then (via a different airport the service agent couldn't pronounce and didn't know the location of) or receive a full refund. I opted for a refund. This was 10 weeks ago and I have still not received my money. Customer Services have not responded to a single email sent to them, I have been forced to call their (Indian) call centre on roughly fortnightly intervals for the past 2 and a half months. Every time I have done so I have been made a promise that I would have my money back within 2 weeks (I have this is writing as I have made the advisers email me while I'm on the line- when I have asked them to email me details once the call was finished, they have never done so).
I have now been told that it is out of lastminute.com's hands (even though I paid them) and that I should have my money within 6 weeks. 16 weeks to pay me back the money I have paid them. I am now without a return flight and without the money to book another flight via another company (from Tanzania incidentally).
This industry is completely unregulated and I have been told (by lastminute.com) that I have no recourse to complaint or review. Useless, unresponsive customer service and I am not alone
