“Travelup Did not book flight or contact me (DO NOT USE)”

I booked a flight with Travelup as their prices are very attractive; however be WARNED !!! They did not book my flight, nor did they contact and it wasn't until I rang them all became clear

I called Travelup after noticing that my e-mail confirmation detailed " This is only your booking confirmation and NOT your e-ticket receipt. Your e-ticket receipt will be emailed to you the same day of our working hours (below) or following day".

o I did NOT receive and have still NOT received an E-mail with my e-ticket receipt.

• Upon contacting your customer service department I was informed that Travelup had tried to contact my partner after my booking several times to obtain API data. I was told that she had answered the phone several times and then put this down and this was the reason our flights had NOT been booked???. She did not receive any phone calls

o I was registered as the Lead Passenger on the booking therefore I should have been the person whom should be contacted. I can confirm that I did not receive any calls or voicemail from Travel up. I have checked this with my service provider and no calls were registered. I have also asked them to provide me with this info, which I am still waiting for.

o I did not recall adding my partners number to the booking. When I asked to confirm the mobile number from which contact had allegedly been made it was my number, which confirms the above.

o When I questioned this I was asked "Am I accusing them of lying" which I found extremely offensive !. They then made comment that "We recorded our telephone calls to your partner". I requested this information; however I am still waiting for this.

o I was then told that my only option was to book a more expensive flight or cancel. After researching the internet I have found that this is common practice for Travel up.

My advice to anybody considering booking via Travelup is DO NOT waste your money. Pay a bit extra and book with a reputable company.
