I got my ring on the 25th December 2010 and by the 25th January 2011 it had turned an ugly brassy color on the back of the ring. I had been very careful with it - making sure i didn't get it near any water and cleaned it regularly, keeping it in the box that was provided.
I took it to the Birmingham branch and was nearly reduced to tears after the staff were rude to me and told me the damage to my ring was my own fault and they weren't willing to do anything about it. The women who was then speaking to me, turned her back on me and ignored me - I was livid.
I then proceeded to write a letter to head office about the damage and some weeks later received a letter back from them asking for the ring to be sent of for inspection - so it was sent by recorded delivery during February. Nearly a month later we phoned head office to see why we hadn't heard anything from them, turns out that the women dealing with my ring had left... so no one was even dealing with it and it was sat on someones desk when it should have been with me! just shows how much they care/are bothered about their customers?! After lengthy phone calls, they eventually agreed to refund us with Swarovski vouchers of the equivalent value.
Something that should have been nice and was a lovely gesture from my boyfriend turned into a nightmare, and i shall not be buying anything from them ever again - i sold my vouchers. And am currently looking very carefully for a new ring from somewhere i trust.
