In my experience the support at 123 reg is rubbish, I waited over a month for a reply to my ticket that basically said :looks like you've sorted it your self now, contact us again if you haven't! Then a few days later I am getting billed again for renewal of the domain name that I had already renewed. This time I am told that I spelt it wrong, even though my only option was to select the renewal name from a drop down list.
Very disappointed with the level of customer service.
