“Massive and pitched in minutes - HiGear Airgo Nimbus 8”

With the recent sale offering the tent for £649, I finally decided to take the plunge and order the Nimbus 8 after considering it for over a year.

I was rather sceptical about the "pitches in 6 minutes" claim, but with two of us, it actually took about 5 minutes in total. Incredibly easy to pitch and cavernous inside.

The whole tent is well designed, with plenty of ventilation and options about how you configure the bedrooms. Lots of handy storage and an entry point for electrics - the tent has everything we needed for a long weekend away.

As others have said, the storage case is massive - we left it at home to save space.

The good news is that the tent goes down almost as quick as it goes up - remember to close the vent valves when you've deflated to avoid forgetting next time you pitch. To get as much air out as possible we deflated, then rolled the tent in the direction of the beams to expel as much air as possible, unrolled so the tent was flat then simply rolled and folded as you would any other tent.

It may not be the cheapest, but wait until one of the WOW or Blue Cross events, and you'll get it for a reasonable price. The uplift in cost (for us anyway) was worth it for the speed/convenience.

A great tent, good for families or larger groups, with space to sit inside when the inevitable rain comes!
