british gas contacted me saying I could upgrade to smart meters so I took up the opportunity, the appointment was in 8 weeks time WOW, I have to wait 8 weeks for something they wanted me to have. my appointment was for the 10th june between 12 and 5 I got home at half 11 so I didn't miss them, at 14 45 the fitter phoned and said he wasn't coming because they had ran out of meters lol. I find this very hard to believe if british gas has ran out of smart meters when it was their recommendation, then someone at the very top of the tree wants their contract looking at. I had to swap days off with people at work so I could have this done and then this happens total inconsiderate. but I must applaud the phone operators as they were understanding and tried to book me in the next closest appointment which I told them just to cancel the whole thing because I would have to go through it all again.
