“Beds fine, furniture dreadful”

I recently bought a bed and accompanying furniture. I didn't visit the showroom as not local to London but had bought a bed previously and loved it. I'd assumed that the furniture would be to the same high standard. It isn't even close.
Drawers are poorly finished (no internal coating so prepare for splinters and sawdust on your clothes) and they do not have runners so often come out. The price point (when not in the seemingly permanent sale) is akin to M&S and having just also bought some of their furniture the difference in quality is staggering.
I'm disappointed because I like what the company stands for and the way it does business, but frankly if you're supposedly selling high end hand made furniture then you need to finish it to a high standard. I'd buy another bed but never any furniture again.
