“As well as using the Dansai DVD player to play UK...”

written by John McK. on 20/12/2001

Good Points
This DVD player is cheap and fully functional. Simple set up once the Asian English is persevered with. Performance quality is impressive.

Bad Points
None really.

General Comments
As well as using the Dansai DVD player to play UK DVD's; audio CD's; and a CDRW loaded with a music track copied from an audio CD, I have recorded photo images and played back a slide/film show on the TV using Ulead's CDR/Photo Image software. This has great potential for making electronic photo albums.

I have tried an audio CD with a video track e.g. Sting's Brand New Day, on my PC DVD this plays a short video intro but it does not show up on the Dansai? Any reasons why?

I have loaded in a Kodak film album CDROM. A menu screen is displayed with options to select sub menus and individual files are listed, but the photos do not get displayed?? any ideas.

I will try the multiregion fix but can anyone explain Macrovision and why it is a good thing to switch it off???

I have held off buying a DVD because of all the hype and fancy prices but this player is a well spent £99.85 p

Thanks to TESCO.
