“Disgusting Deiivery of Dead and Dying Flowers”

written by Hazelhedgrow on 05/06/2015

It is my eightieth birthday. Some kind friends sent me some M&s flowers. These had been obviously kept in an airless box with no water overnight and were drooping and almost dead on arrival.I am not giving my name here.I fear my friends may get to hear of it.This would embarrass them I know.Your ridiculous policy of sending flowers without water is self defeating.Although, like me,people will be reluctant to offend the sender by not mentioning it.It will be reported widely by word of mouth.I shall certainly warn people about it.The only way I could see how to retrieve very few of these half dead blooms was to cut them to about 12 cms long and make a VERY SMALL table arrangement in a small vase.Today, I also received a bouquet of the same flowers with the same claim of next day delivery. These were fresh and perfect and they had some kind of wadding around them soaked in water. These flowers were from NEXT- and if ever I am sending flowers in future I shall use their service and avoid yours at all costs. The flowers I received seem to have been in that box longer than just overnight.I am totally disgusted.Whoever decided on sending live flowers under such conditions needs to review the situation. It is an ignorant and stupid idea. even the one star is too much for this.
