“Appaling, best avoided”

I purchased over £1200 of duvets and bedlinen on a Saturday afternoon and paid extra for a delivery Sunday 6-10pm by UK Mail. I received a text from an entirely different carrier to inform me the items would be delivered on Monday, when I am at work! After 20 mins waiting and speaking to "customer services" I was told the text was an error, which begs the question how Parcelforce got my mobile number. Needless to say, the items were not delivered and after another 20 wait and phone call I was told the courier ran out of time! No text or email to let me know? This is 2015, it's not brain surgery! Today I received a text from UKMail informing me the items would be delivered this evening (ie one day late) when I called HOF to confirm, I was to,d that, despite all emails to the contrary, Parcelforce will deliver and, after a 40 minute call, they accept Parcelforce won't offer an evening delivery. So why are they taking customers' money offering a service they know they can't fulfil? DON'T SHOP ONLINE AT HOUSE OF FRASER!!
