“Awful Overpriced and Lazy”

After booking my car in online clearly describing I needed my two front tyres taking off and re-sealing as air was escaping from the rims of the wheels and a new cambelt was required, I took my car into Halfords in Altrincham and was told they would call me as soon as it was ready to collect. I dropped the car off at 9am and by 4pm decided to see what was going on, only to be told what needed to be done to my car. So in other words.........my car had sat there all day and they hadn't done a single thing of which was evident when I went to collect it as it was still in the same place I left it. I returned the car the following day expecting it to be done only to find myself returning to the autocentre at 4.00pm only to find two mechanics sat outside smoking on their phones, three mechanics drinking coffee, laughing and joking and the girl in reception asking another member of staff how to tell the customer on the phone that they still hadn't started working on the car even though it had been with them for two days.
What made it worse was I had told them I needed the car back by 4.30pm at the very latest yet they just didn't care. After blowing my top at 5pm I finally got my car back only to find they had not even tested it, charged me £594 for a cambelt replacement and upon driving it, there is a really bad whirring and rubbing noise coming from the engine. I'm absolutely disgusted at the work done but will never take it back to Halfords. It will now cost me to have a PROFESSIONAL to repair it!!! Never ever go to Halfords. Massive bunch of amateurs!!!!
