After around 7 weeks of form filling accountants letters and numerous phone calls we had enough.
I wanted 25k secured to finish off a farm house renervation that we had already spent 20k on.
Me and my wife own a successful nationwide company and pay ourselves 110000 a year between the both of us.
This has been the same for the last 4 years.
Because we have just brought the house we couldn't take equity out of the property which is around 100000 as we haven't held the morgage for more than 6 months.
Both our credit history is excellent.
We received one of around 20 forms which had the brokers fees detailed to sign.
£2789 was what they got for arranging the loan so at this point we rang and canceled the application.
I stated why we had come to this decision and the chap on the other end said we can reduce the broker fees?
Try and shop around which is what we should of done in the first place.
