I had the most horrible experience of customer service at Hilarys blinds. Watchdog had it put really nicely when they did a run for hilary's blinds service "hilary's do they measure up?". I had a hilary's rep to visit me at home to get a quote for blinds he gave me the quote and also a number 2 in my bathroom which I had to clean up after he left. Despite that I rang to say that I wanted to go ahead with the order and paid for the deposit. He promised that I would hear from Hilary's very soon for a fitting date. But he was wrong I waited and waited, I rang him again after a few weeks to ask that he chased it up. He reassured me that he would and I would hear back in the next couple of dates. I rang them again yesterday to speak to a customer service advisor only to be told that another person would have to ring me while they were investigating the situation. I received a call today by a survey coordinator telling me that the wait has been unacceptable and apologising, but nothing was actually done to progress the situation. She asked if a surveyor had rang to arrange a visit and I found out that not only I had to open my doors to an advisor but also to a surveyor before a fitting could actually be done! Did anybody actually bothered to explain this to me at the start of the process? Of course not! I then asked to have my deposit back since they have kept my money for over 2 weeks and without offering a service. She then said that it would take 14 WORKING DAYS to process the refund!!!!!!!!! This is beyond ridiculous and unacceptable as a service. Did it take my deposit money 14 working days to go through? Would they have actually offered me a service if I had the expectation they needed to wait for 14 working days to get paid??????? HILARY'S YOUR SHOULD BE A SHAMED OF THE SERVICE YOU RECEIVE TO YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS. I will keep putting the word out so that people don't fall for your bad prices and poor customer service like I did. And to add the cherry on the cake, I asked to speak to a manager at the customer experience department to be told that I would have to wait for a whole day until tomorrow 5:00 pm in the afternoon to speak to someone and they could not give me a specific name of a person who would contact me. How pathetic!!!!!! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
