“Very Poor service still being received”

written by BlaineLevesque on 11/05/2015

I have been a member with Admiral for a few years and have never had a problem until this year, which has changed my opinion on Admiral altogether.

At the start of February this year, my car was involved in an accident - someone crashed into me as I was stationary. We exchanged details, and I contacted admiral as my car was undriveable - the door wouldn't close. It took them just over a week to finally get a recovery vehicle for my car (in the meantime I had to find alternate means to get to work). Supplying me with a courtesy car was not easy either, I had to chase and chase and in the end, decided to get a Courtesy car from Audi as I hadn't heard anything back from Admiral. My car was fixed and returned to me within a week using one of their approved repairers. I posted my claims loss and accident details to them as soon as it happened, only to find out they lost it. I re-sent at the start of March when they were going to close my case down and have heard nothing since. It's nearly the middle of June and I'm none the wiser as to what's happening with my case. Customer service is awful, communication skills are lacking. All I ask for is a regular update as I'm out of pocket as I had to pay the full excess (and hopefully claim it back). In the meantime, my insurance was up for renewal, and they have upped my yearly cost "pending the outcome of the claim".
