Good Points
The quality of the material, and the style are satisfactory. They also have a broad range of formal hire suits and accessories. There are many branches of Debenhams available, making it convenient for arranging hire for people all over the UK.

Bad Points
Very poor customer service, poor communication, disorganised, and creased shirts. I would not recommend Debenhams formal hire.

General Comments
I have had the experience of hiring from Debenhams twice, and on each occasion there were problems.



On the first occasion, the poorly trained sales assistants' bad handwriting meant that other branches could not decipher what outfit was required.



On a second occasion, after being measured I was told to collect the suit on a specific date, the date came, and the suit was not ready. A week and a half later it still was not ready.



After several phone calls, the sales assistant told me that their system had gone down, and they had lost some orders. It turned out that they had not actually lost my order, but entered it into the system with the wrong name!



On collecting and trying on the suit, the shirt was far too big, creased, and felt unwashed. However, rather than risk Debenhams failing to change the order, I decided it was best to take the suit as it was.



I thought it was just myself who had been unfortunate, but all other members of the bridal party had similar experiences of being charged when they shouldn't have been, lost orders, and creased, unclean shirts.



I would not recommend Debenhams formal hire to anyone, as every experience I've had has involved poor service, and the unclean, creased clothing. Each time I went there I often saw other customers complaining to the sales staff about similar issues.
