“Will not give me my Money!!”

Called them.
Now live in Spain. Want me dosh! £88k to be precise.Close the account please.

"Yes Sir". "You've passed security and you ISA / PEP will be cashed at 5pm today".
Great, I said.
"We need Bank Statement and certified copy of your passport" she said.
No problem I will send them in the post. Be aware I live in Spain.
"Do you have a UK address?"
Yes.
"No problem, we'll send cheque there".
That was the start of the problems.
Still waiting to get MY (MY) money.
Every excuse under the sun.
Virgin even sent me a letter from Andrew Stead who doesn't actually exist to the outside world. He exists as a person but does not have external communications. So why do Virgin send letters out with his signature? Perhaps he's just a plonker who can't be trusted with the outside world, me thinks!! Like most of the telephone staff come to that!!
Virgin are now making excuses as to NOT releasing MY money. I bet they're still making interest on it though?
"You have your passport certified by non-British lawyer" (First excuse). I stated that he was an International lawyer.
"The certification is not in English"
"All documents have to been stamped by the Lawyer" (Even though the Bank Statement was the original!!).
"There is no date against the certification stamp"
Feeling you are losing the will to live? I certainly was!!
"The documents we (Virgin) sent you clearly state the date has to be next to the stamp. At this point I advised Virgin that they had not sent me any documentation.
"Oh".
"Oh".
"Eh".
I did everything over the phone.
"Well sir, go to your lawyer and get another stamped copy of your passport and send it to us". It cost 30 euro's for the last one which you forgot to inform me to advise my lawyer to date it!!
Will Virgin pay for me to come back to the UK in person?
"No Sir".
But it's your balls up.
"Yes Sir".
Are you still making interest on my money?
Stalemate.
Litigation me thinks.
I fulfilled my obligation as stated by them on the phone. They haven't.
The excuse. Money Laundering!!
I've been with Virgin 20 years. I sent an enclosed letter when closing the account which was dated. The original bank statement was from February 2015. My UK Passport issued 2013.
Is there no common sense in Virgin, I asked?
"No sir".

As of two weeks, still no money!!!!
They have to be one down from monkey's!! I can't say better than that.
Unfortunately, I can't wait for evolution.
Could have written a book on this but tried to keep it small to avoid the boredom factor.
