“Not as Good as its Taste”

written by StellaFar on 28/04/2015

Going to restaurants and is a very common habit in people’s life. People have different reasons for eating out; they are too busy or do not have time for cooking, they can socialize with other people, and the feeling of being in a restaurants and spending time with friends or family.
There are several values that make a restaurant a good choice, obviously the first and the most important one is good food. Good and healthy food comes from high quality and fresh ingredients that are made in the best way to have the best taste. If we want to compare the restaurants with each other and choose the best one, we certainly consider better service and cleanliness as well.
Between all types of restaurants, fast foods have a very big role in attracting people, because they are so quick and easy to get, so people who do not have enough time for cooking can have their meal in a very short time. They are cheaper than other restaurants, and usually come with a very big portion, and so tasty. Fast foods have so many entertainments for kids such as kid’s meal, or a place for playing; therefore, parents will have a relax time for socializing with other people instead of controlling their kids.
McDonald’s is one of these giant fast food chains which is so popular and famous. You can barely find a person that has not had it or not known about it. People enjoy the fast and convenient food service which is so important in this fast-paced society, and also there are variety of food choices in its menu, even there is kid’s meal or different types of dessert or drinks. Frying the food makes the taste of McDonald’s awesome, but this is not all good about this restaurant.
McDonald’s is really a fast-food in general, is not a real food, it consists of very low quality ingredients that is mixed with so other different and harmless substances. For example the “nugget” isn’t a part of the chicken’s anatomy, or MCRIB is not real ribs, ribs have bones. If we take a look in McDonald’s hamburger, and we go through its details, we will find out that the McDonald’s hamburger is not quite so real.
There are few things that derail your health like fast-food. The average McDonald’s meal contains so much sodium, unhealthy fat, sugar and empty carbs, It is the exact opposite of what any doctor or nutritionist would consider a healthy diet. A 2004 study published in “The Lancet” found that eating fast food more than twice per week is linked to rapid weight gain, increased risk of developing type two diabetes, and sometimes fatal cardiovascular health problems. One of the oldest items on the McDonald’s menu is the Happy Meal, a kid-sized sack of fake food accompanied by a plastic, Made in China toy. McDonald’s has and always will target children with its advertising, they know that kids are very persuasive, they are crying, screaming for having one of those. Those commercials and toys are meant to get kids eating McDonald’s early, so that they will be customers for their whole life. In fact, the processed fat in McDonald’s food (and other fast food) promotes endothelial dysfunction, which is linked to erectile dysfunction down the road. Is all of that really worth a couple of minutes without whining?
Fast food is served fast and you eat it fast, maybe too fast to notice the restaurant is a little dirty. The fact is that no one has ever done a national survey looking at the cleanliness of fast food chains — until now. We are a nation fueled by this restaurant: burgers and fries, it is hot, tasty and easy. And with millions and millions of meals sold every day, most of us just assume it is all clean and safe, but when it is not, it can be devastating. Usually when you go to a McDonald’s restaurant, it is hard to find the restrooms or tables clean. A dirty bathroom means a dirty kitchen. Although it may seem counterintuitive to associate a restaurant’s bathroom with its kitchen, these two places often share the same level of cleanliness. If a restaurant can’t be bothered to keep the toilets and sinks clean, then imagine what their refrigeration and workspaces look like in the kitchen.
Eating junk food regularly is linked to obesity and chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, but many people still choose junk food sources over their healthy, nutritious whole food counterparts. Junk food is typically cheap, processed and prepackaged, making it easily available. There are also some motivators that cause people to choose it as a meal or snack. Lack of sleep choosing convenient and developing addiction to fast food can be driven to choose junk food.
