I own 2 dogs had them both insured at one point. One of my dogs has Epilepsy and a neurological disorder. My premiums shot up from £22 per month when the Underwriters were Axa, they then changed, my MONTHLY premium is now £105 per month!! I have taken out a different insurance for my other dog. Yes M & S pay out promptly but recently i called them to ask about Hydrotherapy because of a muscle wasting disease. The rep i spoke to said Yes I am covered, so we paid out for 10 Hydro sessions £264..sent the claim form off, they said they dont pay out for Hydro unless it is after an Op...it said on letter 'refer to policy', which I did, says nothing about after op, just says wont cover Hydro for Arthritas, fitness or for overweight dogs. This is fair enough, but my dog has a disease where his read hind legs are wasting. We paid out for another lot of Hydro sessions, now they saying they will not cover. We paid it out on credit card and no money to pay it off. So we are paying over £100 per month and not getting the cover that we thought we were taking out...I will never go with them again.
