Unfortunately I ended up stranded in the airport at 9pm and had to hire a car at 4 times the price from another company.
I provided my full driving licence and the card I booked the rental with but was refused the car because I didn't have a credit card. The helpline was closed until Monday and the staff said it was policy and did nothing.
Although it is stated in the documentation that you need to produce a credit card it only says Solo and Mestro are not allowed. It doesn't say debit cards are not allowed. My debit card says Visa and since it let me book the rental using that card I think it's very misleading.
It was a good price and easy process but I was let down.
If you book with this company make sure you have a credit card.
