“Disgusting service”

I ordered two items from Asda George online on Saturday for delivery Thursday. I then changed my mind so rang to cancel the order at 8 am Monday and was told an e mail would be sent to me confirming this. By Wednesday morning I hadn't heard so rang again and was told the first cancellation hadn't been dealt with but it would be definitely cancelled that day and my PayPal would be refunded. An hour later I got an e mail saying my items had been despatched! I rang again and was told I would have to refuse the delivery and that my PayPal would be refunded. I lost three hours work waiting in for the delivery on Thursday and the driver was grumpy when I refused to accept the parcel. By Friday I had still not received my PayPal refund and had to ring again, explained what had happened. The guy didn't seem to understand English and told me I would have to refuse delivery!! Grrrr! I had already done that! I asked to speak to a Team Leader and was told someone would call me back within two hours. Six hours later someone rang me, again I could hardly understand him. By this time I was quite fed up and although my PayPal had by then been refunded I said I had lost money (I am hourly paid) by having to wait in for the delivery. He said as a gesture of goodwill they would send me an electronic voucher for £20 to use against a further order from them! Beggars belief if they think I will ever order from them again after this saga! So not only have they lost my custom for George online, as a matter of principal I shall now do my grocery shopping elsewhere. It is time Asda realised the importance of good us toner service!
