Good Points
It is a very comfortable, stable, and powerful bike. It gets good gas mileage and has plenty of storage.

Bad Points
I wish the gas tank was larger and had a 12v oulet for a bike of this quality.

General Comments
I bought the Honda Silverwing in March of 2007 and have 19,750 miles on it now. It is my third scooter after riding motorcycles for over 25 years. I had the Reflex and Majesty before the SWing, and although they are top quality bikes, they just aren't in the same leaque as the Silver Wing. I ride all over the S.F. bay area and it handles great in the mountains, twisties, and the higher winds. I can't see ever going back to motorcycles after having these scoots.

The Silver Wing handles the interstates 2 up with no problem whatsoever. When my wife and I ride we cruise at 90mph with no problem and it is silkly smooth. It also handles the twisties very good too and is a blast to ride in the mountains. I did install the Givi windshield, K&N air filter, and the J.Costa variator and really enjoy those too. The air fiter and J. Costa was not needed but I like to play around with things I own. The Givi was needed since all windshields on bikes are small to begin with and if you are over 5'4" or so you will just need to buy a taller one.

The power reminds me of the 1986 Harley Sportster 883 when I bought that new. I think the Sportster might have been just a very little bit quicker, probably due to the gears, but I really think the Silver Wing is a few mph faster at top speed. I have had mine up to 104 mph on gps with the stock shield, and 102 mph with the gps with the Clearview and the Givi shield. I also love the fact that I don't need to shift and after having shifted for over 25 years it is kind of nice to just twist and go.

Overall I have to say I'm very impressed with the scoots I have had and really enjoy the SWing very much. The Reflex just wasn't powerful enough for the interstate. The Majesty did a very good job on the interstate and reminds me of a smaller Silver Wing. But they just aren't as nice "Touring Scooters" as the Silver Wing. That's what I refer to these larger scooters; "Touring Scooters".
