My experience with Bidz has been a very positive one. I purchased 6 items not for the purpose of reselling them but more in the hope that I was buying good quality high end items. I have spent a total of $5700 on a 3.48ctw Luca Carati necklace. a beautiful Salavetti cocktail ring and on 3 watches 2 of which are from Freds and 1 from Mauboussin. I have had the items valued twice and both concluded that the overall value of the items were worth thousands more than I had paid. They both confirmed that Bidz was correct in claiming that the colour of the diamonds used in the items was F and that there clarity was VVS2. There is little doubt that some of the items are overvalued but it is possible to find a nice quality investment item on this site.
