“Winter Break”

The Dom Pedro Baia Hotel in Machico was as we expected having read other guest reviews. The hotel is well used and along with the pool needs some refurbishment, however as our holiday was to explore the eastern side of Madeira, it was more than adequate. Top marks to the very friendly hotel personnel, particularly the catering and dining room staff. There wasn't a large selection of food but what was offered was to a very good standard. We would use this hotel again if we returned to east Madeira but only for a base to walk & explore.
