“Hidden excess charges!!!!”

I took out an insurance policy with octagon, with the excess being £250 voluntary and £100 compulsory, after having an accident I put a claim in and was shocked to be told my excess was £600!! Apparently if you are under 25 you have to pay an extra £250!!! My policy stated nothing of the sort and I was not told anything over the phone while taking out the policy! I could just about afford £350 but £600 is taking the mick! Won't be getting my car fixed for a while! Absolutely shocking and customer service read from a script!
