i applied for a buy to let mortgage

they kept me in a dialogue for 13 week and then rejected me after charging me £800+ for a valuation fee

they asked for information on a peacemeal basis over months

a more organised service could have established whther i was eligible in a few days and saved me the expense and all the stress

it is about time this sector of the market is regulated; they have a financial incentive to collect valuation fees and you have no easy recourse if they subsequently reject you regardless if it is down to their inefficiency
