Good Points
Great picture (When it plays)

Bad Points
This is a faulty player which Sony refuse to acknowledge. So many owners report the same fault - It skips badly even on new disks. Some forums have suggested that the laser might be at fault - Avoid!

General Comments
Despite the fact that some owners have been lucky enough to have bought a player that actually works properly, far too many owners have reported the same problem. Avoid this player. It's a shame because the image quality is excellent at this price point. Buyer beware.
