“Half price but not worth it.”

I took out a subscription at New Year for half the normal price and while it can work as intended, it often doesn't.
The 1851 census frequently won't load pages, it won't move from page to page and when I complained about it there was a `promise` to fix the problem within 90 days. Wow, that's impressive - three months to fix a problem which shouldn't exist.
As I write,the website is down and showing a picture of an impending shipwreck. How appropriate.
I don't dislike `Find my Past` - I hate it.
Had I known just how bad it was I would have signed up for the other company even though it cost much more.
The newspaper search is clunky and most unpredictable and trying to enter something like an occupation in the census search throws it into total confusion. Images frequently won't open; transcriptions from census pages have been done by someone with a slight knowledge of the English language, the whole sorry mess is amateurish beyond belief and I most certainly would not recommend it to anyone.
