I have received my laptop about ten days ago. In short, I would like to say I just love this laptop. It is fantastic, and much better than my expectation.

Before I ran into pcspecialist, I was looking around for laptops with i7-4710MQ and a decent graphic card (at least GT 840M), at an affordable price of course. I had no luck until I found pcspecialist. To be honest, maybe I was a little silly to be surprised that I could configure my own laptop based exactly on my desire. But what worried me the next was the quality of a self-build laptop. I did some research and read some reviews about pcspecialist. There were some good and bad reviews. But I couldnt resist to have a laptop with almost every single elements of my own choices, so I decided to go for it. By the way, I should let you all know that I actually had a look at other laptop dealers that offered self-build laptop service. I finally went with pcspecialist because the time they claimed they needed to build the laptop was the shortest when I was making up my mind (4~6 working days). the building was actually completed on the 7th working day and I got it on the 8th working, which is still the shortest among all the dealers I had had a look at.

I installed Windows 7 myself onto the computer.

Pros

The screen looks lovely. I used to adjust the brightness to its maximum on my other laptops and computers, but I never need to do that to this one.
Even at its lowest brightness, it is already bright enough for general use!
Speed, it takes like 8~11 seconds (not really sure) to boot up, and it handles anything i throw at it brilliantly.
Price, this is the cheapest laptop with i7 and GTX 850m I have ever found (maybe I didnt do enough research). With the amount of money I have paid, I didnt see I could have anything better than what I got now.
I should point out I didnt use the touchpad at all, because I dont like it at all. I disabled it right after I installed the windows 7, so I cant have any valuable comment on it, sorry.

Although I decided to go with pcspecialist, I was still worried if pcspecialist was a trustworthy company. But the communications with them made me worry as less as possible. They kept sending me emails on progress of the laptop, and even asked me to show proof of my address and identity before they could dispatch my laptop to me, which gave me an impression that they were reliable at least to some extent.

another thing I would like to say about my laptop is the design of it. It looks beautiful and classic. At the beginning, I was worried if my laptop would look awkward or the design would be old fashioned. But I was wrong, my laptop turned out to be very nice looking, sleek. The texture feels like metal, but I think it is plastic, I am not sure.

Cons

I could sometimes hear a blast from the fan. I dont know the reason. I suspect it is the way it works?


In sum, I like this laptop very much. and I will certainly recommend my friends, and in fact, I am actually thinking of configuring another one for my girlfriend.
