“And Your Final Quote Is?......”

Following a visit from a Zenith cold-calling agent we had a rep from the company come to see us to give us a quote. As others have commented, his presentation took a full 2 hours despite us trying to hurry him along. To be fair, he was polite and courteous throughout and not pushy in his approach, but determined to stick to the script.
When he finally came to the end of his spiel he took a tour of the windows which we wished to replace (a bay and 4 2-pane windows) and gave us a 2 year fixed quotation of £9941. Of course, if we were to sign up for the Portfolio Agreement and have the work done within a few weeks the price came down to £6453. We said we would think about it.
After his visit we visited this website and discovered what a poor rating the company had, and how some of the staff had been well out of order. So the following day we rang the rep and said that we would not be taking up either quotation. A few hours later another member of staff rang to offer us a new price of £4287! By now we realised how true many of the references were, and how this company will deliberately overprice its products.
So we said no thanks yet again, and we will wait and see if we get the harassment which others have reported. Should you decide you wish to purchase from this company, my advice is keep haggling. Do not accept their first, second or probably third price!
