“Another very satisfactory rental”

I always select Nova if they are reasonably competitive and they seem to be keenly priced in most destinations I have used. I have never yet had any significant problems with them.
This rental in Cyprus went perfectly smoothly both with Nova and the local company (Sixt) and was good value. A second driver was included in the base price which is great as the extra charges are often unacceptably high. The fuel was collect full return empty which seems to be the norm for Cyprus, obviously attractive to rental companies on a small island. We got upgraded to a larger car which was fine provided the drivers are OK on the narrow local roads. It also meant we bought much more petrol as it had a larger tank but fortunately we planned to do a lot of touring around and were able to avoid losing out much there. One day a rental company will introduce a policy of charging a sensible flat fee plus the market price of the petrol to refill cars on return and all the other companies will have to follow suit!
