“Lorimer Windows, patio, front and back door”

We had a total replacement of all doors and windows. Obtained a quote from a local competitor and price from CR Smith was slightly higher. However, they were able to install with a few weeks rather than a few months with the opposition. We liked the slimmer window frames than others who seem to purchase from other suppliers. CR Smith frames are neat and made in Scotland. The patio door works smoothly. We went for oak surrounds and these have not warped at all.

No trouble with the installation and the installers were efficient and tidy. Nothing was left undone over night - and we were able to put the heating back on when they left. It was November.

We had experience of the finance company as we were able to pay cash.

After a few months, one or two of the windows became a little stiff to open - we had been advised that they could. However, I rang and an installer arrived the next day. A slim plastic strip came loose from the front door and again, someone appeared the next day to fix it. These were small problems and after sixteen months the windows and doors are fine.

Our house was built in 1981 and had wooded double glazing and the seals had perished. We notice a big difference now. Sitting by the window is no longer a draft experience.
