“Promised next day delivery is a joke.”

Ordered an electric bed for an elderly relative on Thursday 19/02/15, which sales girl said was in stock and available for next day delivery on Friday 20/02/2015. No sign of delivery on Friday, and web site order tracking says awaiting shipping. Only the sales team on the phones when trying to contact them, and they are not interested if it is not a sale. They say there is no one in customer team until Monday, and cannot help.
Is this terrible service, or am I old fashioned ?
If I had known of the true delivery time, I would have gone somewhere else, and recommend people to avoid this company like the plague.
