I bought a new oven in the shop and carried it home. My dad installed but it was faulty. After 50 minutes on the phone to various customer service numbers we were told we had to bring it back to the shop to get a new one or get the money back. They wouldn't come to change it otherwise. I would have expected them to send me a new one and take the faulty away within a week and install for free without me having to bring it back to the shop and wait for 1.30 hours.
After 1.30 hours in the store we got a delivery arranged for the following week. So I stayed with no oven for 10 days! They wanted to charge me £90 for the installation. Luckely I discussed with the customer assistant and he argued my case and they didn't.
I think £90 is outrageous. It took the 2 delivery men less than 10 minutes to install it! A plumber would charge you £40/50 for an hour!
Anyway that was a painful experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy items they keep on stock in the shop as mine was faulty and I wouldn't recommend to use their installation services which are highly overpriced.
Also the delivery was 3 hours early, luckily I was at home.
