My 19yr old Daughter recently passed her test,Her insurance gave her the option of breakdown cover which i insisted she had,3 weeks ago on leaving a friends house at 01,05am she decided to stop an post a letter, when she returned to car the battery was flat, she could not lock doors either, she phoned RAC for the 1st time ,having never done this before she was asked reg, then told its an 1.15 min wait, she was not asked her name or was she ok or was she alone, after telling the rude advisor where she was she sat and waited, she told the advisor she would wait but also try to phone a friend an if she could get help she would let them know if they were not needed, she was frightened so she decided to phone a local taxi firm an explain to them, even they were kind enough to send a driver with jump leads who kindly jump started her car.when i heard of what happened i was fuming an rang the rac,put in a complaint an today was phoned by a complaints Manager who obviously is not a mother, straight away was told that the advisor that night was not in the wrong,as they listened to the conversation, also its not the advisors duty to ask whether my daughter was alone or if she was ok,Rac done nothing wrong,my point to her was she has never had to phone RAC before an to be honest was new to all this, then she had the front to say that my daughter only made an enquiry ,so not only was we called liars but i was sounding like a over protective mother,My daughter even had the decency to phone them back to cancel the call out,i have escalated this further as i will not be talked to in such a way by a jobs worth ,SO TO ALL PARENTS OF YOUNGSTERS PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY,They are so lucky my daughter came home in one peice an unharmed, disgusting service arrogant managers ,FUMING BUT I WILL NOT LET THIS ONE GO !!!!
