GMail is the best email service I've used - far better than Hotmail. Easy to navigate and use with tons of great features. There are "labels" which replace the traditional folders which are better IMO and an archive feature which means your inbox doesn't have to be full, but means you don't have to delete any emails... ever. The "labs" provide loads of other optional features like "delay sending" which gives you up to ten seconds after you've sent an email to cancel it, which is very useful. It is also integrable with other Google tools like Calendar, Documents, Search etc.
