“Thought we were all booked and sorted....”

Then four days before travel we get an e-mail to advise us that the hotel was now "fully/over booked" and we had to move hotels. This was despite the same hotel offering rooms just 10 days before. The new hotel was just as nice and couldn't be faulted, but isolated and we had to get a cab every time we went out. We called and told them we needed to be near the original hotel/friends/area and even though they were still advertising simular quality hotels on their own website in the area we wanted to be, for the same price as the new one offered, they said they could do nothing to help. I know people say this is rare, but I find this hard to believe as they actually have a 'large department to help with these thing'. Also met another two couples who suffered simular things while we we're there. Cheap travel? yes, but be prepared for your plans and booking to be altered. We won't use them agian.
