Requested a boiler call out in January and was able to get someone out the same day - brilliant! All the tests were carried out and everything seemed to be good until 3 weeks later when the boiler failed with the same problem. I called the AA out and they were able to send someone out the next day so a day and a half with no heat or hot water. Bearable but not ideal. The engineer found a leak and and attributed this to why the initial January repair failed and required a second call out.
2 weeks later the boiler failed again due to a fall in water pressure. I was able to top up and soon had it up and running. However when I went outside I noticed water leaking from the boiler overflow. I went back inside to check the boiler and heard (and found) dripping water - so the leak from the second visit did not seem to be repaired. I requested a call out and was able to get someone out the same day - brilliant! However 30 mins before 'cut off time' I was called and told that an engineer would not be coming. Great that I received a courtesy call. Not so great was the fact that I had waited in all afternoon. I was told the engineer would arrive next day at around 10am. 10, 11am and 12pm came and went I was still waiting. I called to find out if the engineer was still coming and was told my slot was between 10am and 2pm - and now that I had called the agent could see that the engineer was going to be a further 30mins late so should arrive at 230pm.
I guess I presumed as I had been bumped from my slot the day before I would be given priority for call outs the next day.
So now I am patiently waiting for the engineer in the hope that he is not further delayed by another 30 mins or even a whole day and will see if he can resolve the boiler issue on the 3rd call out as call outs one and two have been a failure, as they have not fixed the root of the problem.
