So it's took me years to grow my long hair, and in one session at the hairdressers all this hard work was diminished. I went to Toni and guy in basildon for highlights and a cut. The girl who did my highlights was lovely and done a great job, but I had to wait around after my colour for 40 mins for the manager to show up to do my cut, as that's who I was booked in with . When he finally showed up I told him I wanted some layers put in ends of hair as I do the school run and ty my hair up quite a lot so want my pony tail to look nice and not look boring. So after hours in the salon I pay, it came to £220 pounds (ouch) I did buy some shampoo and conditioner, but for this amount of money you expect to get what you want. When I got home I noticed that one side of my layering looked longer than the other, and the layer looked short, and it looked like my hair had been cut in half but I thought I'll wait until I wash it before I make judgement. Next morning I tied my hair up and it looked like a big chunk had been cut out of my hair, I asked my mum to have a look she couldn't believe it, one layer had been put in, but it hadn't been graduated in just a straight line half way up my head had been cut in - it wasn't even it was about an inch out on each side it looked awful! I phoned the salon and told them I wasn't happy with the cut they said come back down and we'lll sort it out. unfortunately I was strucked down by an illness and was at home for twos months. I phoned the salon and they said our policy is we can only rectify hair two weeks after the initial appointment but they were kind enough to make an exception on this occasion. So I go back down to have this layer sorted out - well what the guy done was thinned out my whole hair - my hair looks absolutly awful - I can't wear it down as it's so thin - I can't believe what he has done to my hair! It is true what they say, you can always tell if a hairdresser is good by their layering technique and what should have been nice pretty layers has turned out to be the worse haircut and one of the worse experience I've had! I'm just going to let it grow out now find another salon and get some of the length cut off to try to thicken it up! What a disaster I thought all Toni and guy staff were trained first but this says it all - he is the bloody manager of the shop too! I feel so let down.
