“Better to go direct to the airline”

I was directed to this site from Kayak to book a business class flight from Manchester to Melbourne. Yes the price was good, and yes the booking was made, but queries after that received contradictory or non relevant answers. Email replies showed a poor command of English and a telephone enquiry received a completely opposite reply to an email. There is even a paragraph at the end of emails saying that as emails can be corrupted you cannot actually rely on an email reply to be accurate and should not use it as proof of anything. I was left wishing I had dealt directly with Qantas/Emirates and feeling insecure about several aspects of my arrangements.
