Staff with knowledge and availability. Delivery service. Customer service. They will put their hand in their pocket if things go wrong.

Prices are sometimes quite high.
General Comments
We just bought a washing machine at John Lewis there in Brent Cross (19/08/06 15:00). Whilst there we were just looking at a machine for 2 mins. (Normally I hate it when just browsing and someone asks you if want help but obviously no one just browses washing machines). Anyway, a senior looking member of staff came over to us and asked if we were ok. We said we were looking for a basic washing machine, straight away he called another member of staff over and asked him to help us. That's service!
We bought the machine and they arranged delivery and pickup at an extra cost. When the machine arrived my brother noticed a slight damage at the back. We have had big problems with machines so called the customer service department and told them. They immediately apologised and offered us a 20% refund and said our guarantee would still be valid. This was more then we thought would happen and once again we are happy with John Lewis.
